Filtering

Filters can be applied to control the amount and type of information which is captured or displayed. If a filter is used during capture, it will reduce the amount of data captured. If it is used on an existing capture buffer, it hides some records from view.

Searching, filtering, and triggering use a combination of I/O request types, status, and state to select specific records. A multi-tabbed interface to Filter/Trigger definition dialog, allows definitions to be saved and re-used. Trigger conditions are used for halting capture when a defined condition is met.
