Context Sensitive Help

Context Menu Help for URB, USBINT, IHUB, and MPORT Records

Starting in SourceUSB 2.0, the "Help on URB" context menu option for the Log View and the Details Pane was added. In SourceUSB 2.1, context menu help was extended to include: USB Internal Ioctl requests ("Help on USBINT request"), Hub-Bus Interface functions ("Help on IHUB function"), and Miniport-Usbport Interface functions ("Help on MPORT function"). The screenshot below shows an example context menu for a log record when a GET_DEVICE_DESCRIPTOR URB is selected:

In response to selecting "Help on URB", the User's Guide is opened to the corresponding URB Reference page for URB_FUNCTION_GET_DEVICE_DESCRIPTOR, which describes the purpose of the URB and gives descriptions of all URB fields:

The User's Guide now contains a separate reference page for each URB type, including some undocumented Windows 2000 URBs, each USB Internal Ioctl type, each Hub-Bus Interface function, and each Miniport-Usbport Interface function.
